LOVE, PEACE, and POWER
Renowned artist and DJ, James Trotter, aka DJ Superwolf, created a crowdsourced community shrine of LOVE, PEACE, & POWER at Harvester Arts during his time in Wichita. Throughout his residency, the artist made additional appearances as DJ Superwolf, including the Tallgrass Stubbornly Independent Gala at the ICT Urban Pop-up Park and at Barleycorn’s. Trotter, based in Missouri, collected beloved artifacts from members of the community and organized them into a large shrine installation. Trotter has been an avid collector of comics, toys and records since childhood. His drawings and shrine installations act as a dense diary of our collective cultural past, leaving viewers struck with deep nostalgia yet feeling the work was made specifically for them.
