Shiftspace Closing Reception: Kaleidoscope

10.31 | 6-8 PM | Harvester Arts | Free

Kaleidoscope is less of an exhibition than it is an invitation. An invitation to see through shifting lenses and diverse perspectives. Each work offers a distinct lens, yet when viewed together, they are a dynamic mosaic of possibility and meaning. Rather than seeking a single narrative, this exhibition invites viewers to embrace fluidly and complexity, to find beauty in the intersections, and to witness how difference can generate resonance.

Holiday Cards for Veterans: A Veteran Art Coalition Workshop

11.01 | 11 AM - 1PM | Harvester Arts

Harvester Arts and the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center, NAMI Wichita, COMCARE of Sedgwick County and Live Connected Kansas invite artists—whether they are Veterans, service members, their families, or supporters—to join us for Holiday Cards for Veterans, a special workshop dedicated to creating art with purpose.

During this hands-on event, participants will create handmade holiday cards to accompany Operation Joy gifts for more than 100 Veterans and their families, many of whom face homelessness or limited resources.

All skill levels are welcome—whether you’re a practicing artist or simply want to contribute through creative expression.

Art supplies will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own materials as well.

This workshop is free and open to the public

Fork’N'Folk Potluck + Jam Night

11.01 | 6:30 PM | Harvester Arts | Free

Bring your appetite and your instruments — it’s time to gather, eat, and make music together!

Potluck: 6:30 PM

Jam Session: 7 PM

The Neighboring Movement will be there with a table where you can take the We Care pledge.

Bring: a dish to share, your instrument, a music stand, and a great attitude.

Don’t bring: outside drinks or booze — beverages will be available for purchase.

New to Fork’n’Folk?

We’re a welcoming, music-loving community that shares food (Fork) and songs (Folk). We use a common songbook that’s perfect for everyone — from first-time strummers to seasoned players. All are welcome to join the fun!

Public Art Toolkit Workshop: Navigating the RFQ Process

11.02 | 2 PM | Harvester Arts | Free

Thinking about applying for a public art opportunity but not sure where to start? Join local artist Armando Minjárez at Harvester Arts for a hands-on workshop that walks through the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process from start to finish.

We’ll use the Public Art Toolkit developed through Harvester’s partnership with the City of Wichita’s Arts and Cultural Services department to explore how artists can prepare strong applications for small-scale upcoming public art projects.

Learn how to read an RFQ, understand eligibility and selection criteria, assemble your materials, and write clear statements that communicate your vision.

Free and open to local artists of all disciplines.

Harvester Arts joins the Purple Line Project

The Purple Line Project is an initiative of ComfortCare Homes, a Wichita-based innovator in memory care for more than 30 years. This groundbreaking initiative empowers businesses to make their establishments more welcoming and accessible to individuals living with dementia and their care partners.
